The Philly map is quite sparse. It doesn’t even cover the whole city! But does cover some random areas.

Does that mean band 5 LTE is gone or can both be ‘on’ at the same time? I actually do rely on band 5 at my desk often.

It's gone for now. They may activate B5 LTE again once DSS is enabled.

New coverage here looks kinda spotty as well but B5 LTE wasn't deployed on every site. I'm sure they will continue to add sites especially when they add midband and DSS.

First carrier in Baltimore to have real 5G- nice. Well Verizon has 5G but only at M&T Bank Stadium. Oh. and T-Mobile's 4.9G. By the map id have 5G in town and at work, not at home though- which is fine, thats what i have gig fiber for. i can get a minimum of 100 Mbps at work (Usually ~140) on an iPhone 8 plus which is only 2x2 and missing band 14- could probably get 200+ on LTE, 250+ on 5G.

Thinking about getting the iPhone 11 Pro- or is there a better phone speed wise for LTE? Like a Samsung Galaxy S10? For my main phone and then probably a 5G phone. Is the Note 10+ the only 5G phone on AT&T? Might get a line on T-Moible and compare the two's 5G service.
Personal Highest on LTE - US RT 1 and MD-152

Home internet - Verizon Fios 150/150 (Upgraded to Gigabit Jan. 26 2019)

Seems quite stupid to make sure about 15 Samsung phones can connect to NR on band 5 while most can’t. Should’ve waited until DSS but we all know this is BS marketing. It’s honestly worse for T-Mobile’s 600 MHz imo. What is this gonna be, about 5-10% faster?

Haven't seen ANY 5G NR over band 5 on a Note10+ 5G in NYC or the surrounding areas yet. Anyone else having issues finding 5G in NYC? I am on an Unlimited Elite plan....

Don't forget that 5G cellular technology is not available in all areas of covered cities and probably won't anytime in the next several months.

Jakeuten, do you have 5G in Duluth yet. My youngest is at UMD, so inquiring minds want to know!

No press releases about it and I stopped using android in 2017. So who knows what will happen first, a press release or a 5G iPhone. They do have the best network in the area though, 5G aside. Blows everyone else out of the water.

My advice to anyone considering buying a 5G enabled phone is to wait at least 1 year for more devices to be released and for the network integration to be expanded in more markets. Buying into it right now is a waste of money for 99.99999% of users (yes, I am exaggerating the percentage).
