Apple just confirmed with me that no matter what application you are using, if there is text in the subject line field it will be converted to MMS. And we know for sure that Truphone does not support MMS?

If so, we now know what is going on!

    Okay. That's what I thought.

About Truphone not supporting MMS, yes, that part I'm sure about.

    See: https://www.truphone.com/support/why...-sms-messages/
"Are You Attempting To Send An MMS?

We do not support the sending or receiving of Multimedia Messaging Services (MMS).
For this reason, you may also experience errors if you are attempting to send a group message or a long text message (over 760 characters), as some handsets will convert these messages from SMS to MMS.

We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause. If you need to send a media file from your handset, please use messaging applications via data connection."

Thanks so much. Now I can notify Truphone that the issue has been resolved and we can close the ticket. I really appreciate this!

And that’s why for the iPhones I use with TruPhone (and also FreeUP), I keep MMS messaging, group messaging and subject field turned off in the Settings.

Just got a really weird voice mail to my Truphone number.

This time it was not the Chinese speaking lady with a California phone number.

Some strange man called and said that he found this number on a piece of paper and thought that he would call it to see who it was.
Then said goodbye and he hoped to talk later.

Okie dokie well that was definitely weird.

I have no idea why my Truphone number would be on a piece of paper ANYWHERE because I have never given it to anyone.

I can't imagine finding a piece of paper with a phone number on it from another state and randomly calling it just to see who it belongs to.
