Red Pocket service degradation since New Year?

I have both Red Pocket's Verizon 100/100/500 $5/month yearly plan and the former Freedom Pop free at&t LTE 250MB/month of data plan. Last year I noticed occasionally on the Verizon plan I couldn't access the Internet and the data would just time out.

Starting this year, using the same phones as last year, I noticed both the Verizon plan and the at&t plans are both timing out to the point I can't use the data on most occasions. In the case of the Verizon plan I'm guessing because of VoLTE, I can't even make phone calls, the call gets stuck trying to call out. I was guessing this has to do with deprioritizing on the network, but I wanted to ask the community if anyone else is experiencing this? I'm in the San Francisco area.

FreedomPop LTE plan is only Data, you need to use their app to make calls. Nothing to do with VoLTE or the native dialer.

Haven't noticed any degradation on either Red Pocket Verizon or ATT. The Washington DC area doesn't seem to have congestion issues like other areas of the country.

I'm in Sacramento area with the same plan. No noticeable problems with either VoLTE or LTE data speed. MMS can be kind of slow however.

You can't answer this question without knowing phone does the op has. If they have an older, non lte phone that doesn't have all the bands necessary for connection, that could be an explanation. Also, cell service is not absolute. Poor or good service could depend on location, situation and time of the day.

That being said, no noticeable issue on Red Pocket Verizon in the metro nyc area. It's not always instantaneously fast in every situation but no noticeable service outages or dead spots.
