I guess it wasn't meant for you to try the Apple ecosystem again.

The Apple ecosystem mania is like being absorbed by the Borg.

There was a rumor recently that they may. But they dropped OS support for the 6 last year.

I bought an SE a year ago for a backup line, so I would hope for at least another year but I can live with it if they don't
    Just a rumor I guess.

Yes SE2 or iPhone 9. Supposedly $399 but since it will have a better processor (the same as the 11's) than the iphone 8 and the same size screen it will be tough for them to justify the 8 at its current $449 so maybe that gets dropped in price and that's still a good phone.

This is Apple entering the mid market for phones. There will also be a larger screen version of their mid market phone too later in the year from what I read. I think they are realizing they're just missing out on a huge market and that their phones are reaching unsustainable price levels. It's interesting to see them react to that - they're still selling earbuds for $250 but the wind is coming out of the spend $1,000+ on a new phone every year sails.

iPhone 11 is my current primary phone. I have older model iPhones and Moto phones available on other lines. Trying to simplify to 2 prepaid lines, one on the Verizon network and a limited minute plan on ATT to improve coverage area. 12 month plans to help me fight the urge to switch. The good old days of contracts where you had to pay a hefty ETF to leave
