    Source of cheap ($10) refill?

I need to reload my Legacy PAYG with another $10. Went to Calling Mart and now they charge $1 invoice fee. Not sure if it's a fixed amount or percentage but in this case it's 10% or $11 total (I think last time was $10.20).

I assume if I do it directly on TMo site, it's $10.70 (FL 7% tax). If that's true, is there anywhere that would be less than $10.70? Presumably some no-tax state with lower convenience fee.

    Thanks!

Pinzoo has it for exactly $10 (no taxes or extra fees).

Well Pinzoo was a total waste of time. Placed my order and informed they'll call me (not surprised, I've encountered that with CallingMart and others for first order).

They called me, got vmail, left me a number to call them back, sent me an email with a different number to call them back. I called both numbers 90 minutes ago and left a message. Didn't hear back. Just now got an email they cancelled the order.

Not going to waste more time to save $1, maybe I'll jump through their hoops when the numbers are bigger but more likely I'll stick with CallingMart if cheaper than the carrier, as they have been able to manage their own process properly. In this case, I was surprised to see TMo wanted $1.10 in tax (FL is 7% so presumably extra communications taxes). So $11.10 from TMo, $11.00 from Calling Mart, $10.00 from Pinzoo but wouldn't sell to me. I went with Calling Mart and already loaded (there was a slight delay of about a minute, I think because I put a PIN in my cart then removed for RTR and it may have flagged as suspicious).

Thanks for the pointer to Pinzoo though. Just posting this for anyone who might need to order in a hurry (I have a week).

I too went with CM. TM Prepaid Rep was so nice. I missed my refill date by 2 days & they reinstated the balance. I'd consider the TM network for my everyday driver if it was any good around here.

When I did my first order with Pinzoo, I did not wait for them to call me, I just called them. The rep verified and completed the order right away.

I have 2 legacy lines -- bought 2x $10 refills from Callingmart last week

You can waive the $1 service fee by doing an "Auto Purchase" -- they have an option to make a one-time auto purchase so I selected that (delivery date was next day)

Mine came out to $19 total after discount -- paid with Chase Ink Cash which gave 5% cash back ($0.95)

Thanks I'll try to remember for next year (though really I need to find a useful way to burn the $100 and not lose the # after).

what discount? from your rewards automatically? this is good to know because my renewal is coming soon.

I tried to use pinzoo but they couldn't even recognize the number I gave them in the system so it was a waste of time.

They might have 5% coupon codes from time to time: https://www.callingmart.com/promo/

I noticed the coupon field but their codes have expirations. From the verbage it seems it won't apply if set on an invalid date? Damn missed this thread by a day.

I think it'll need to be valid on the date they process it

There's usually a $18 min purchase requirement so coupon won't work on single $10 TMo refill anyways -- I have 2 legacy lines so I can buy 2x $10 refills to use coupon

Every year this rolls around and I still get confused about RTR and PIN.

    Which to use? Anyone? Thanks.

I get the PIN so I can apply it myself when I'm ready -- I usually buy it a few weeks in advance

RTR they apply the refill the amount to your phone number directly
