I have been using a Fi Data Sim in my Coolpad Surf for months. My plan is to use the Mint Mobile SIM in that hotspot. I think as long as it's a T-Mobile MVNO, should be fine.

Mine arrived via FedEx today. I live in Denver, if that data point is useful.

Mine says it expires 8/15/2022. I know from previous experience with Mint that you don't have to activate it within 45 days like they say.

It's back to $60 now. It was a Best Buy 'deal of the day'.

I received my SIM card today. I don’t plan to activate it for a couple of weeks. I have a brief overseas trip planned and want to investigate its international roaming options before activating.

That date is when the sim card won't be activated by T-Mobile any longer. It's on the back of all T-Mobile sim cards even their mvno's.

That's my point. Mint can't arbitrarily assign a 45 day activation window. I have tested this with them in the past. The sims will activate up until the date printed on the card.

Mint doesn't owe you any credit if you wait past 45 days, I can't believe we're still discussing this.

If you waited past the 45 days and then activated you got lucky. There have also been reports of unactivated sims past the 45 period.

Mint mobile free for 3 months

The expiry date on the SIM card is the date when the SIM card can’t be activated anymore.

However, the free Mint mobile for 3 mos offer did say to activate within 45 days. They may or may not have programmed it so that you only get to activate the FREE service within 45 days. We don’t know.

DB/SB, why don’t you try it for all of us so we’ll know? Wait until it’s past 45 days before you activate your FREE service.
