Tmobile response to Verizon Super Bowl Ads

This seems a little unnecessary if you ask me

I just recently switched to Verizon Wireless from T-Mobile. Waiting for my sim cards to arrive in the mail, but I'd be curious to know what current Verizon Wireless subscribers have to say in response to T-Mobile? I really don't care about 5G but care more about better 4G coverage.

The one thing I didn't see with the T-Mobile ad, however, were actual speeds tests side by side. That is, was T-mobile 5G faster than Verizon 4G?

No. If was faster they will post the tests. Vzws LTE is faster.

The "who is faster" pissing contest among carriers is getting REALLLLLY old.

Give me reliable 20 Mbps everywhere with no spots where data comes to a crawl (i.e. crowded areas or poor service areas) and I'd never once complain that my speeds aren't fast enough or that I couldn't do everything I needed to on my mobile device. Being able to get 100+ Mbps brings almost no tangible benefit to 99.9% of consumers based on the way people currently use their devices.

Yes, there are technologies and industries that 5G speeds will benefit. No, they won't matter to the average consumer who can load their video 5 seconds quicker before it starts playing.

Coverage and data speed CONSISTENCY trumps fastest pure speed any day.

Not excusing it, but T-Mo's current low-band 5G is like 5mhz. This 5G is not going to be especially fast right now, it's for showing a bunch of coverage on a map, rather than waiting some months for DSS to come out (when all 4G spectrum can also run 5G to 5G devices.)

It's actually 10x10. 5x5 would be even worst

Actually T-Mobile has dedicated most of it's band 71 for 5G and only left 5 MHz for 4G. And T-Mobile has at least 15 MHz for band 71 for downlink in most of the US with over half the county having 20 MHz and few areas having 25 MHz. So in other words most of the us has at least 10 MHz and up to 20 MHz for downlink for 5G. In Miami they use 10 MHz downlink for 5G and since Verizon band 13 is also 10 MHz downlink I think i's perfectly fair comparison and they still lost.

10X10 in Miami. In places where T-Mobile has 20X20, which is most of the US, they use 15X15 MHz

They have very little places with 20x20. Most is 15x15 and some 10x10. Most places LTE is 5x5 and 5Gnr is 10x10. They have yet to do wideband anything on B71

You're right my bad. Unless I miscounted only 47 of the top 100 PEAs is where T-Mobile 20X20 or more. And of course that's only what they won at auction and of course I'm not counting anything they may have bought or leased since then.

At the end of the day I don’t give a (bleep) who says what about who. I’m not changing carriers. They’re all just trying to cover up their own personal shortcomings and insecurities by using cheap shots and name calling as a way to distract from the truth.
