    Cdma phone and cheap plan

I have two questions. First one is does us cellular still activate cdma devices? Second will U.S. Cellular give me a plan deal we’re I pay .10 a minute or 2 dollars a day when i use it? The reason why I ask is I go down to Tennessee or Kentucky every year and atnt is not good there so I would like a backup phone to use. I have a Nokia 2126 I would like to activate and it is the tracfone version. Thanks

Got it. I've read in the post paid forum at&t has been building out in Tennessee and Kentucky, so that will hopefully help you. I'd also check the cricket forum for anyone in those areas if us cellular roaming is active. If you look on their coverage map, they have 3rd party coverage active in Maine, Iowa and SW Wisconsin. Some of that might be on us cellular. Sorry I don't have a direct answer to your question.

Have seen no information about a US Cellular CDMA shutdown. The lists only show the 4 major carriers.

A Tracfone branded Nokia 2126 can't be activated on another service. None of the old Basic phones can be unlocked. It can't be activated on Tracfone anymore either.
