    Freedom Nationwide Performance

Went to Caledon, ON and nationwide came on but service was unusable
It was either slow 3g with 250ms latency
Or showing signal but data did not work at all

What has your experience been work roaming on freedom Nationwide ?
Have you ever connected to Lte while roaming ?

I don't think I've ever had a problem with Nationwide, always been reliable and LTE. Most roaming happens in Collingwood, Kawarthas, and Uxbridge areas. Only issue was a Freedom system eff up that showed my Nationwide allotment as being used up when I hadn't used any of the bandwidth at all that month, was resolved very quickly though.

I was in Kemptville on Nation Wide.
I had good signal and full LTE.
Maybe you were in a dead zone for all carriers.

This is true while traveling outside their maps

If you are inside their map (eg large portions of Vaughan are, which I suspect is similar to OP in Caledon) essentially their is no Freedom network so it switches into Nationwide
But Freedom does NOT allow roaming Nationwide while you are physically inside their map footprint so service is essentially nonexistant

On flip side far away from home (eg Montreal, USA) the roaming works better than Freedoms home network
    Koodo $40 Canada Wide + 8GB + 1000 Intl LD
    Public $120 Province Wide + 12GB - $6 Autopay - $12 Loyalty - $45 Refer = $19 per Month
    Freedom $35 ($37-BTS) North America Wide + 8GB + 1GB Roaming

How does the phone know what the Freedom footprint is?

You don't have band 66 built into your phone. its the main data band freedom operates on. That would explain the issues
