I am on a grandfathered 6 GB Mobile Share plan with 2 phones that usually gives me all the data I need. I don't want to go to a more expensive Mobile Share or unlimited plan. Once a year we go to Florida for 2-3 weeks and I do run out of data. Is there anyway to buy additional data for that month without upgrading to a new plan (and losing my grandfathered plan)?

Not likely. If you change your plan you can't get a grandfathered version back. Ask what overages might cost. Likely, your data speeds could be decreased once you hit the 6GB threshold until the start of your next bill cycle, but you wouldn't get cut off all internet access.
Just another day in paradise.....
