    Phone recommendations

I'm looking for a different phone to replace a ZTE Axon 7. New or used. Unlocked. I like the size of the Axon 7. TIA

What (Tracfone) carrier will you use it with? Do you prefer a TF-branded phone or BYOP? Any preferred or disliked brands (Moto, LG, ZTE, Samsung, Alcatel, Huawei, etc)? Price range? Are camera features/quality important?

You can go to www.gsmarena.com and click on their Phone Finder function, plug in all your required specs, then look at the candidates and narrow them down.

ATT carrier on Tracfone. Prefer BYOP. No brand preference. Decent camera.

The Axon 7 has pretty good specs to match. Why do you want to leave it?

I think GPS is not working on it.

Right GPS is not working. Rooted phone with custom rom that I did not put on it. Bought used. Don't want to deal with the headaches of trying to get it to factory unless there is a way that is really simple. And even if I do a factory reset, there is no guarantee that the GPS will start working again. The GPS is important to me.

Sorry, Had forgotten about the earlier thread on the GPS.

Also a Moto fan, and would recommend an unlocked 32GB G6 (not Play). Plenty of them on eBay in new or open box condition for decent prices. Not sure about the G6, but my G5 Plus has excellent GPS.

I've been a Moto fan also. What drew me to the Axon 7 is that it is dual sim. Could have both ATT and Verizon. But never got around to setting it up that way. I think I'm gong to check out those Moto G6 phones.

Avoid the Moto G6 Play. I have one and do not recommend it. It is not happy with Pie.

HSN has the Moto G6 bundled with 1-yr and 1500 in each bucket. If you're going to use it with TF anyway, the TF-branded phone is a good deal. I think it comes with a Verizon SIM, but after activation you can transfer to a BYOP AT&T SIM and use it in the same phone.

It could be worse. The fingerprint sensor died on mine in less than 1 year. Was hoping the Pie update would fix the fingerprint sensor but it didn't. The mic stopped working soon after the Pie update so now the phone is only used for white noise. (which it works quite well for)

Can the bundle be added to your current service?

You active the new phone WITH A TRANSFER from your existing service. Current phone number and buckets/days will be transferred to the new phone, then the bundled units/days get added on top of that.
