Emergency covad virus powers and if the banks pull funding for dish then the remedy goes away and deal is undone.

    They're going to approve it...

...and the most that would ever come as a result of a denial is T-Mobile sells the Sprint brand in California and competes against itself... really, it's toothless.

Please enlighten the rest of us. Why don't you think they will approve it ? How did T-Mobile "tick off the the cpuc" ?

If they vote against it, they'll just get a court case. But nothing will be unwound. When you've got the federal government on board including a Tunney Act review as well as the district court judge who decided the state's case, everything is good to go. You might as well just sit back and enjoy the supercharged un-carrier show.

So you're saying that the state would use its power against a private company .. because of a 'personal' vendetta ? I know that California is kinda a nutty state (yes I live in it), but this would have many businesses and companies go against the CPUC if they forced this - as T-Mobile would effectively be forced to leave the state, and those with service /businesses that rely on service from both Sprint and T-Mobile (MetroPCS, Walmart) would be forced to AT&T/Verizon.
Typically government has 2 forms of action:
    1. Regulatory (California has more regulations than many countries)
    2. Taxes/Fees
    AT&T... your world, throttled.

    Click on this link: https://www.marketwatch.com/tools/quotes/lookup.asp

At the top of the page, in the box under the word : SYMBOL LOOKUP type in Sprint then click the green search button.

you should see a page the looks like this: see pic below

Sprint is gone. Sprint was bought out; Sprint was acquired. If you like Sci-Fi, then T-Mobile is the borg and Sprint was assimilated. No one is going to risk going on board the borg ship to rescue Sprint. To show my age and quote Hall and Oates: "She's Gone". And the CPUC can't bring her back. You can't buy any Sprint and you can't sell any Sprint because Sprint does not exist. There is no Sprint and the investment banks have closed the financing.

I'm going out on a limb here and thinking that you have had some sort of credit in your life. Do you think that wall street investment banks would have closed the loan if there was a chance the the deal could come unravled?

A similar case has already been tried in the 9th circuit (California's circuit), when cingular was around, and the CPUC lost that case. T-Mos lawyers have already filed the petition. The CPUC's dog won't hunt.

FYI: Not all T-Mobile stores are closed in California, as telephony is considered essential business. Some restrictions on hours and access, but all retail has gone that way.

    ^^^^^ Agreed.

That’s all this is. CA. is simply flexing her big muscles for the camera.

Think about it the stock market has lost about 10k and going lower. The banks dish have could very well pull funding then what? The deal would have to undone as the remedy can not be completed. Not grasping at anything just running a simple simulation of what could be and very likely would be.

T-Mobile - Sprint Merger has finalized

This is a done deal. To think otherwise is crazy. California will not win this.
