Black Wireless T-Mobile Plans Being Cancelled

I just received a text from Black Wireless that their T-Mobile plans are being cancelled and refunds being offered. Service will end on 4/10/2020. Oh well, it was good while it lasted.

Wow. That seems like bad business! Was there any explanation?

May I ask which plan you are on? I haven't received such text.

I am on the 50gb plan with unlimited talk and text that also included 20gb of hotspot data. It was a promo that came out in February.

if i am not mistaken blackwireless is a brand of redpocket and redpocket continues to offer various GSMT plans on the main brand

appears this is more a decision specific to plan offerings than dropping of a network.

sucks that redpocket can't(or will not) honor the plans they sold for the duration(or at least a certain amount of time through a billing cycle) even if they have to eat some unexpected costs

I'm also on that plan. However I've received nothing from BW. Curious.

What is that supposed to be showing?

I thought Red Pocket owns Black Wireless, and before that, it was under the same ownership as H2O Wireless.

Finally heard from BW. Guess I'll start looking elsewhere. No explanation given as to the reason for such a measure. They've lost me as a customer.

Up until this plan, BW only sold at&t plans.

It could be that while yes, they are owned by red pocket, they might be operating independently. Who can say. I suspect that BW got in trouble reselling tmobile business lines, like harbor mobile did. The interesting thing is I think teltik mobile rose from the ashes of harbor mobile (started by some of the same people from HM), and teltik hasn't been shut down and has been going on for a few years now, so they must be doing things legit now vs harbor.
