    BYOD device upgrade elgibility?

    Does anyone know if you would be immediately "upgrade eligible" for device offers after opening a new BYOD line?

    This would be a new postpaid account, new line, new number, on the Unlimited Starter plan. AT&T Universal SIM Card No annual contract is the only thing in cart being mailed out.

    Any help to understand this would be appreciated.

    Thanks. Maybe this has changed since the more recent plans and possibly new policies?
    From the thread it seems they should put a restriction on the Next program instead of the account eligibility.
    If BYOD upgrade is 6 months, would a new account be immediately eligible for upgrade when ordering a device and paying it in full?
