I just wish AT&T would be more transparent about their 5g+ city coverages. Only 5g Iíve experienced around here is T-Mobile and itís didnít even crack 100mbps

Same. I got 200 Mbps once on my iPhone X when I parked directly across the street from a tower. Outside of that best-case scenario, I usually see 35-50 Mbps down. The bigger problem Iíve run into is the lack of reverse path throughput. I rarely ever get more than 2 Mbps up, and the absolute best Iíve ever seen was around 10 Mbps.

I had to reach out to a tech reporter who did an article in 2018 about 5g being in Raleigh and Charlotte who helped get a straight answer out of AT&T.

ďWeíve been very clear that our 5G+ network deployment was initially focused on high density locations in parts of select cities. In Raleigh, 5G+ is available in areas on the North Carolina State University campus. In Charlotte, customers can access 5G+ at the Epicentre and outside Spectrum Arena.Ē

I already knew it would be in high density areas if it was here but they were anything but Ďvery clearí. How hard would it have been for them to post that it was at NC State in Raleigh and the Epicentre and Spectrum Arena in Charlotte? So itís at NC state and other parts of Downtown Raleigh based off of another article regarding 5g tiki torches being put up. Looking forward to testing it out

Wow. Thatís reassuring. Everyone has been downplaying low-band 5G NR as being no faster than, or even slower than, LTE-A. Thatís more than twice as fast as the fastest LTE speeds Iíve ever gotten.
