Need Web/Data Block option on old model LG101 and LG LN280 >>HELP PLEASE<<

    Hi,
Really stuck on this one - have older models that I'm trying to set up for a special customer program. Need to be able to block data/web. ##3282# not working. The LG101 was originally issued by Common Cents (sprint). The LN280 is native to VirginMobile, and need a way to disable wifi if possible.

Please help with programming mode details. Thanks so much!

Thread relocated to the LG forum.

You should go to the phone settings and delete the APN (access point name) settings which will prevent cellular data access. There might be a setting that allows you to turn off data services. If you don't see the settings, you could try a Google search or other members might have additional suggestions. Another suggestion is to go directly to the LG internet site and either ask in their forum or download the user guide.

I have an LG G4 and in the settings menu there is an on/off toggle for "Mobile data". Best wishes and good luck.
    Just another day in paradise.....

Both models are feature phones from 10 years ago, they don't have APN's.

Even basic, feature phones can access mobile data and that's why I made my suggestion. I realize those phones don't have a full internet browser. Many feature phones (even 10 year old models) can send/receive MMS so they would have to access mobile data to do so.

Here is what I see looking at the manuals for these:

    LG 101
    Has a crude browser
    No MMS
    Email access to some services
    No WiFi
    No data on/off toggle

    LG LN280
    Has browser
    Has MMS
    Has WiFi
    Has data on/off toggle.

These run on CDMA 2G (1xRTT). Calls and data are on the same channel. Unusual for phones of this type to have a data on/off toggle feature. Not sure if 2G only phones can be activated on Sprint anymore. They will not run when Sprint service transitions to the T-Mobile network.
