    From Mint to Red pocket

I am a mint user, the service is good, the price is good, the costumer service is good too, the only reason for the move is that I dont get good reception at my house, other than that I am happy.

I have a few questions about Red Pocket

Can I use my current sim cart ?
How do I transfer the number ?
Do I buy the plan from Red pocket and transfer ?
Do I order another sim cart ?

    thanks for your help

you buy a plan on red pocket website or their ebay storefront. After you purchase they mail you a new sim card. You get the porting info from your mint account. typically name, address, phone number, pin number etc.
When you get the sim card from RP you activate it and give them the porting information from your mint account

Do you know which carrier you want to use? If so, are you sure it will work where you live, work & play? Also do you know if your phone is compatible?

Cool, that phone should work well on ATT as long as you have a decent signal. I'm assuming you have the G4 Play?

Which RP plan? From the RP website or eBay?

As much as I love what RP has done for competition in the MVNO industry, if you're talking about the RP 1000/U/1GB $169 eBay plan, I'd probably lean toward Xfinity at $12/mo+taxes/fees.

If you have a G4 Play, it won't work on Xfinity since it doesn't have VoLTE.

Can you tell my why you lean towards Xfinity ? I hate that company the only reason I am staying with them is because of contract

after 1 year with Red Pocket, can you buy the same plan at the same price ?

I suggest starting the port on the 25th Monday. To give you 3 days just in case. And not Th-Su.

But if it was me I'm super cautious these days I'd start the port on the 19th.

Isn't Mint ATT ? If the OPs signal is the issue, is even going to RP/ATT going to help ?

No. Mint is a T-Mo MVNO.

Red Pocket currently has 5gb for $20 a month plus unlimited talk and text on their E-Bay annual plan. That is a great price.
