SoftBank in Talks to Sell T-Mobile Shares to Deutsche Telekom

Deal would boost German telecom giant’s T-Mobile stake above 50%

Make sense for DT to strip SoftBank of any stake in the company.

Rumors from Telecom analysts reports have said Masayoshi Son had lost interest in the cell networks business. Guess the were true.

I think owning Sprint would have that effect on anyone.

Yeah I find this a bit strange... I guess the wealthy get to choose which sector they like to play in. Now with more subscribers, bandwidth, coverage and talent (or not) on T-Mobile's side against AT&T (who IMO still has an unreliable network) / Verizon (who sat on the side lines in terms of spectrum for too long), shouldn't they be plowing in cash for a win?

    Hilarious but so true!
Manners cost nothing, and also have the added benefit of making a man. You know, it is entirely possible to rise above others, without stooping to pushing them under, and putting them down.

There have been many discussions about SoftBank's cash constraints. I think this is an attempt to regain some liquidity.
