It could be anywhere from 50+ to as low as 8 or so. Cellular is like real estate: location, location, location.

I have the prepaid one I signed up for last year. I don't use it heavily, so ATT hasn't pulled it.
iPhone 11 is my current primary phone. But I have more phones than lines. Back to only Prepaid with the changes in the economy.

I signed up today for two unlimited data plans for $20 each on my Android tablets. After 22gb it can be slowed down for congestion. I think that's a great deal. Got it in the ATT store. Put the Sims in my phones and am getting very good speeds. Buy a session is $40 for 25GB. My plan is postpaid so it will cost a few dollars more. No activation fees with my AARP card.

Can it be used in a hotspot?

This $20 unlimited monthly data plan for tablets has a $30 activation fee. I had the $30 activation fee waived because of my AARP card. I brought in my tablets to the ATT store and was set.
Sounds strange to me considering buy a session is up to $40 ($35 with autoplay for 25 GB).

Not much talk about this $20 plan. But the customer rep in Henderson, NV told me this plan has been active and available for the past year.

When you check the online account for the plan details, does it say "Access for iPad 4G LTE" or something else? I was wondering if there is a different $20 plan for Android tablets vs an iPad.

This is based on tablet usage correct?

I haven't checked anything online. I use to have the buy a session tablet plan about a year ago. With my AARP card, I am getting this $20 monthly tablet plan for $18, a 10% monthly discount.
Online is not always cheaper. Sometimes the best deals come from going to the brick and mortar stores and talking to the reps there.
$30 is a very stiff price to pay for an activation fee for a monthly plan of $20. Glad my activation fee was waived.

It is my understanding that this plan is for all tablets, Android or IPAD.

It has been 3 days since I have had these 2 $20 unlimited tablet plans and they work great in my Moto G7 and G7 Play. The rep in the store said it would not work in smartphones, but I told her in a nice way that it would, that I had the buy a session plans for 18 months and I used them exclusively in my smartphones. I was tempted to use them in a hotspot, but I really prefer to use them exclusively in my smartphones. I have used hotspot before and I found it to be an unnecessary gadget - though a cool one.
