According to GSMArena.com's phone finder, the answer is NO.

are there any phones currently that aren't T-Mobile branded which have 71? Hard to tell from the GSM phone finder.

    yes.

Click on this link for B&H Photo Video: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/buy/s...9/N/3955685938

Scroll down and look on the left side for the category "LTE bands"

Open the category by clicking the down-pointing chevron.

Click on the open box "71"

Right now, of the 163 phones on the site, 40 have band 71 with the Moto G7 Plany being the least expensive smartphone. No site is ever 100% correct so you should verify with the manufacturers website.

You still run any of these ancient models? Single band 2G GSM only. Band 71 is only about 3 years old, and not a lot of phones have it unless they are recent TMO branded models.

I've been carrying my 8390 for a week, it's actually nice having multi-day battery life and no social media apps, and GSM1900 is still surprisinlgy decent.

I was even able to hold a call in an empty elevator yesterday. The coverage is still surprisingly robust for as small of a channel it's running on.

My Motorola Select 2000e is a bit fickle, but it was literally the first GSM phone for the states in 1996.. so i'm just glad it's working at all.
    Verizon: Grandfathered UDP
T-Mobile: Magenta Amplified (airline employee plan)
    AT&T: Premium & More w/ Free 100Mbps VDSL2 "for life"
Sprint: Premium Unlimited (for 100GB hotspot!)
