    Nokia 2126 tracfone

I have a old Nokia 2126 that I bought. I bought a power cable and I plugged it in for a while and I can’t get to boot up or show signs of charging. Any suggestions.

Keep in mind that the phone is CDMA only and does not have VOLTE available. You will not be able to activate it in the US. Even if you get the phone powered up, it will only be a pretty paperweight that lights up.
    Just another day in paradise.....

Pretty risky buying one of these very old phones without verifying its function first. Could be few issues not allowing it to start. Yes, these can't be activated anymore.

I know it can’t be activated but I just wanted to boot it up and take a look at it.

Yes, I understand the nostalgia of some of those classic phones. I bought a Nokia 5180 just to have a similar model to my first cell phone (my avatar here). It was not able to be activated anymore, but can be started up to play with. Got the original phone in 2002 and traveled extensively with it for a year...mostly on Analog. Not cheap to operate, but I was connected wherever!

I know you said you attempted to charge the phone and it didn't take a charge. Did you keep it plugged in for more than a few minutes? I have had phones sitting in a drawer for more than a couple years that had to be plugged in for more than an hour before it appeared to be charging. Eventually they did start charging.

I did plug it in for about 5 minutes and it did not seem like it was charging. I will try to leave it charge for a few hours.
