I use a 'CDMA-less' device, and earlier this year I travelled in an area that Verizon's coverage map clearly shows CDMA-less 3G roaming (western Illinois north of the St Louis metro). I just had "emergency calls only" in the area with my Verizon SIM. My roommates using VZW Postpaid with similar devices as me had 3G coverage in the same area. It seems from that alone that domestic roaming might not be available on Prepaid anymore.

This might be different for CDMA-capable devices, but I can't confirm.

I've always turned roaming off on my cell phones. In my area, the DC area, I have never had any issues with roaming turned off. Or when traveling on the East Coast during work or on a vacation.

I don't think many cell carriers charge for domestic roaming anymore.

Btw, just a heads up Target has the $5 off $50 discount this week on prepaid cards. Plus normal red card discount.

I know I have asked this but has anyone ported from Visible to VZW Prepaid and gotten the $60?

Internally as they’re both Verizon ultimately that’s a migration not a port so it shouldn’t qualify.

Does anyone know if I sign up for the 5gb plan and then switch to 15gb plan later, will I lose loyalty?

Never mind, no $60 port in. So would have to be on 5gb plan for 6 months to breakeven with the extra 10gb

You wouldn’t the loyalty is with the account/line not the plan. As long as you don’t leave you won’t lose loyalty

I am a little bit lost with Verizon's new prepaid plans. Do they still do family/multi-line?

I need 2 lines. What is the best/cheapest way for 2 Verizon prepaid lines?

I think with the change they give multi line discounts that act as loyalty discounts. In their FAQ they mention this it’s still a discount just can’t remember if loyalty or multi line

You can still do multi-line accounts, but there is no discount for additional lines on current plans.
The loyalty discount on newest plans replaces all other discounts and promos that grandfathered plans had.

I am not sure about this. I just activated a 5G phone (Galaxy S10 5G) this last week on the Verizon Prepaid plan and although data works, it is 4G - This is also what I was told upfront by Verizon that I would get data but not 5G (I moved from another Verizon MVNO(Puppy Wireless) as no data would work on a 5G phone) I was going to go with Visible but they told me they couldn't even activate my 5G phone as theor system would not let it, so that was a deal killer.

I would be curious where you saw Verizon PP included 5G data.
