T-Mobile seems to be on a 2.5 barrage here now. One of my home sites just received a full upgrade and has 140 MHz of 2.5 deployed. 100 on NR and 2x 20 MHz LTE carriers. It also has 2x PCS carriers now as well.

My fastest DL speed on T-Mobile to date. Taken while on northbound I-75 at Birch Run.

Where do u get info about what they’ve deployed to your local sites?

Just visually looking at the panels that were swapped out and new ones installed. I can manually select bands to see which ones are active.

n41 has come to Northern Michigan! Taken in downtown Gaylord. They also widened B4 to 10 MHz and added AWS-3 H block as well.

T-Mobile widened n41 from 40 to 60 MHz. First time cracking 500 on Sub 6, pretty impressed.

That's good to hear. I was able to get over 120Mbps last fall up in Petoskey, and a few bursts on i75. Sadly, I had the LG velvet, which didn't support 5g SA at the time. Charlevoix would have been effectively green spectrum, as I doubt many have TMobile, and of those, 5g SA were primarily S21, V60, OnePlus devices

Some tests from two separate routes. Most of the tests were with n71. Few LTE only and a few n41. Not really consistent.

A newly upgraded site on my way home. A second B2 carrier is now active. Backhaul seems to be more limited than other 100 MHz sites I've tested.

Got the tmo test drive on the iPhone to test SA.. actually glad my sprint sim can’t access it. Pretty slow, not sure if it’s the network or the iPhone 12 series but it likes SA and won’t get off unless I force low power mode. Line of sight to n41 and it was preferring SA.. Really??

My highest SA test yet. Every other tower has been sub 10 mbps.

The SA problem came along with iOS 14.5.. I have stopped using my iPhone for now until Apple fixes it.. their implementation of SA is horrendous. I would regularly miss calls/sms because the iPhone completely disconnects VoLTE when this happens.

Or my favorite, when I leave a city with SA.. put on airplane mode and land in a city without it.. "No Service" until I reboot the phone, or it just flat drops to EDGE until I reboot the phone. Apple really screwed that implementation.

I have duplicated this on two 12 ProMax, and a regular iPhone 12. New SIM did not fix, eSIM did not fix.. it's going to take apple fixing the SA coding before it's fixed.

Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 does not have this problem, nor does the Moto G Stylus 5G I got as a backup.. this is an iOS issue.

The iOS Standalone bug is better on iOS 15, but there’s still issues with it.

It was funny though.. with my T-Mobile sim enabled and a backup Verizon SIM card inserted.. using dual sim it would even mess with the Verizon service. I was having 20+mi patches of no service on both carriers when it would act up a few weeks ago.

I think that I had that issue occur when I travelled recently to the east coast on iPhone12. Couldn't figure out why the phone was like a brick... Then I remembered your post wanting me to check on that. Reboot fixed it. iOS makes me think I'm using Windows of the 90's... Reboot often.
