As long as ATT & TM don't crush MVNO's VZW on their own won't be able to.
I will be Judged on how I helped the poor, sick & others in need; strangers & loved ones alike.

Saw this on Google. More debate over the sale of TF to VZ.

I have been loading up on service time using rewards points. My main cell phone is currently good for 4 years. The only thing that concerns me is the effect of the Verizon buy of Tracfone since I prefer AT&T towers.

I don't think Verizon is going to kick off users on other networks right away. I expect they will nudge you to join their network with incentives. Last I saw, 38% of Tracfone Wireless users were not on Verizon. They have little to brag about, as the service has slipped a lot in the last couple of years in my area.

I wish you would describe this better. I do not understand what you said.

I guess I understand. Tracfone services or Tracfone companies which use Verizon network; some people "don't get a good signal with Verizon".

Verizon has the best coverage in my area, most people use it, but think it get's overloaded in high use times. They started adding the mid-frequency B4/B66 channels a few years ago and the signal strength dropped. Here on a Sunday I am seeing B5 and B13, which you almost never see during the week anymore. This is a very hilly and forested area, which does not do well with the higher frequencies. Signal coverage is a different thing than signal strength.

I have been seeing mainly band 13 and 66 here. I know they installed this small cell near me, and from what people on reddit said this small cell support band 2, 4/66, 5, and 13. I am in a rural part of west central Iowa.

I'm in Topeka, KS. I have an unlocked Pixel 4a on Visible (Verizon's own prepaid). When it uses band 13, the signal is very strong. When it uses band 66, the signal is just so so.

I get the best speeds with band 66, and the worst speeds whenever I am connected to band 13. It is good amount of difference, but not enough to see on the phone tho. I get 60+Mbps on band 66 and 20Mbps to 40Mbps on band 13.

Man. That’s quick. I remember starting service when the literature still said Topp Telecom. I moved to postpaid two years later but still have my original # from 1999. Time flies!

Yeah, this is quicker than most people thought. No telling if they really think they'll get it done by then or if this is just public relations or posturing.
