I set up my 12 Pro yesterday.

This is a seriously speedy device, and I can well understand the move to "Apple Silicon."

I just ordered a Space Grey Pro Max 256Gb through the Veteran and Military Store for $1079 for a 11-13 pickup at one of the local Apple Stores. I got a case from Amazon a week ago. I'm passing my 11 Pro Max 256Gb to my wife and I'll sell her old XR 128Gb I got for free from Costco last year.

    Can't can't wait...
But the Pro is tempting though since the display is 6.1", which is a few shy of the screen size of the Pro Max I have.
Not sure how the 6.7" is going to be for daily use since the 11 Pro Max is plenty big for me.

There is very little difference in size between my current 11 Pro Max case and the same case, same brand, for the 12 Pro Max. As a matter of fact, my 11 Max will fit and actually stay inside the 12 Max case and is just slightly loose. I suspect that since they reduced the size of the bezel around the actual screen, there is little discernible difference between them.

I'd say go to an Apple Store for comparison, but I went a few days ago, and no one was allowed to browse inside. They were only allowing customers with pickups or problems into the store.

    11 Pro Max: 3.06W X 6.22H X .32D
    12 Pro Max: 3.07W X 6.33H X .29D

    So...

Well, based on the dimensions you provided it looks like my iPhone wallet /w case that I use for my 11 Pro Max may fit the 12 Pro Max. I'm guessing it might be a tight fit for the case since the 12 Max Pro is just a hair "larger". I really don't want to get an new iPhone wallet since this is perfect for me.

I took the measurements from the Apple website so they should be spot on. I don't know how stretchy your old wallet case may be, but it possibly could work. Otherwise I'd look on Amazon for the same brand & style for the 12. I had both of them in identical cases while swapping data and couldn't tell them apart unless I looked for the larger cameras on the 12.

I just received my 12 Pro Max today but it won’t fit into my wallet case because the sides are stiff and not stretchy enough so off to Amazon to get a replacement. Dang it, because this is my favorite since I have a bunch of cards that I use on daily basis and keep some cash on hand.

EDIT: Found the same case for the 12 Pro Max! Woo hoo

Wanting to upgrade from my Iphone 7 Plus to: 11 Pro Max (refurbished) or 12 Pro Max. Any suggestions? I've read different forums users of the 12 Pro Max are complaining about the display being poor. Thank you for your advice

Based on the fact that that it sounds like you don’t upgrade often because you are coming from a iPhone 7plus I would recommend going with the 12 pro Max. It’s more future proof. 5G will be much more common and faster in the next few years so the investment would be worth it. From now on most tower upgrades will be focused on 5G equipment so it will only get better. With the 11 you will be missing out.

Also since you waited this long you could consider waiting another 6 months for the iPhone 13. They usually are announced in September. That will be even more future proof and is rumored to have a better display.

This is good advice, especially if you are not in a hurry to replace failing equipment or some other timing issue. The iPhone 12 Pro Max has a great display as far as I'm concerned. I have had every large iPhone since the 3G in 2009 and it's the best so far.

I’m not sure what they mean by the display being poor because I’m enjoying using the 12 Pro Max with HBO Max. If you are in it for the screen size I would just get the 12 Pro Max or wait to see how the 13 will turn out. I had the 11 Pro Max but it didn’t have support for 5G and wireless carriers are rallying around 5G so you might as well get onboard and take advantage of this.
