I see that the "sub-7 5G will just be like really good 4G" thing is holding true, and I'm glad because good 4G has been and will continue to be more than good enough for most use cases.

However I do look forward to sub-7 finally getting the promised latency improvements when Verizon rolls out their 5G standalone core.

Anyone know if Verizon is aggregating sub-7 5G? These speeds seem improbable for just one band of 5G

I think they’re aggregating it with LTE. AFAIK, aggregating within sub-6 and with mmwave will become available with the next generation Qualcomm 5G modem.

I suppose the best way to find out is for someone connected to 5G Nationwide to open a signal analyzer utility to see if they’re connected to multiple aggregated bands.

If they're doing it how at&t does it, it'll be one NR carrier and up to 4 LTE carriers.

I think as soon as C-band is deployed you'll see lowband 5G aggregated with c-band. You can have C-band for downlink and 850 for uplink.

Do you know if they are deploying SA - NR at the same time?

I'm looking forward to low band uploads with mid-band downloads. Upload channels are usually the limiting factor with mid-band coverage.

Isn't that kind of slow? I get faster speeds than that here in the DC area with 4G, on verizon prepaid.

Speeds are going to be area dependent and for teh most part 5G is not going not be faster than 4G
