My sister has a postpaid Verizon family plan. When eventually moving her Verizon postpaid service to the TCL, she'll want to keep her same phone number that's currently on the dying Moto (she's had that same number for 16 years).

Thank you for the kind help, repped!

(I activated a Samsung Galaxy A51 purchased from Tracfone with required plan (1GB with unlimited minutes/text) in January 2022, added 90-day basic plans a few times, and moved it to another smartphone. The 1GB data with unlimited minutes/text did not change.
    2. Unlock does not impact your TF service plan in any way.
    3. It's very easy, especially they are in the same account. (make a note of your balance on both phones.) Just chat with an agent. A 6-digit code will be sent to the donor phone, and the balance will transfer. Here's a mini guide on how to do this.
    4. Since you already got 2 months of service on the TCL, you only need to add one more month for the points to vest (if you have pending AAL points). You can then unlock and combine lines, before giving the TCL to your sister.
Thank you for the reply. I do have AAL points that should vest a few days after adding a new plan to the 'Q' TCL (fingers crossed those points don't disappear as some of you have experienced).

Not allowed to currently rep you, but will do so when I can. Thanks, again!

Edited to add: On the app, under PAY-AS-YOU-GO Service Plans, I see a 60-Minute Airtime Card for 90 days of service $19.99 or 2000 reward points. Is that the plan you added to your TCL TF (QVC)? Why does it say 180 minutes, 180 texts and 180 MB under "Actual Benefits"? Would what's left of the 90 days of service be transferable to my other phone when I no longer use the TCL on TF? Thank you.

I can't believe I've been missing out on all of the Tracfone Customer Service fun for so many years! Just wow!

So I recently started a line of service, got a referral code and got the 8,000 point bonus.

Today I had a friend start a new account. After activation they used my code to get 5,000 points. So while it worked as it was supposed to on their end, my point balance didn't change. After searching the forums and confirming that points usually appear in pending almost immediately after a referral code is used, I went on chat to see how they would handle this. Chat said that their system doesn't have any access to rewards, but they could schedule a call in 15 minutes from the rewards department.

So I did get a call in 15, but the person immediately started quizzing me on my balance saying that of course I have my points, I have 8,300. So I explained that the bulk of those were from someone referring me but I was looking for another 5K for someone I referred. He finally admitted that he wasn't in rewards and he transferred me to someone who supposedly was.

This rep also started with the question, "Do I know have many points I have." But when I moved him past that then he came up with: "your friend entered your code, but you don't have my points because you didn't enter your code. Huh?! So now I'm in the position of explaining to the CSR how illogical this is that I would enter my system generated code into my own account. But he was adamant. So I finally relented, you tell me which screen I enter my code and I'll enter it. So he says, right at the bottom it says Enter Code. I said it said that when I first signed up...it doesn't say that any more.

So he went off for three minutes to look for an answer....and when he couldn't find one the line just goes dead.

What a first impression of CSR! It appears they have no training on the simplest of issues (like points referrals), and so they just make up things as they go. lol

Chat is useless and regular phone support is pretty close to useless on reward issues. You have to call executive support and even then you may still need to go to FCC to get resolution.

Yeah, it thought the same too when I first signed up for the rewards back in May after having an account for nearly a year! Until, I read about all the issues with points posting AND maturing properly and your comment below reflects much of what's been the experience of many here in recent months.

Great when it works. Frustrating when things don't and then it makes you wonder if it's worth all the trouble.

That's why we suggest HUCA (Hang Up Call Again) if you get a rep who doesn't have a clue about the issue at hand.

    Very good advice.

Yes, that’s the one I frequently use, 2,000 points for 90 days, 60/60/60 under Pay-As-You-Go plans. Ignore 180/180/180 (I think it’s tripled for phones like TCL Flip 2 or other TMFL plans.)
Yes, the days left will be added to your othe phone.

Sincerely appreciate the confirmation and timely reply! Just browsed Target, I think they have that plan, too, at same $19.99.

Same thing happened to me. I tried a couple times to start new referral accounts and failed. The referee accounts would get the correct points (1st 5K and 2nd 6K), but nothing for the referrer account (expecting 5K and 9K). I stopped trying and held on to my old referral accounts (code changes every time someone used it).

The same happened to me when I added a phone the 1st time. I was supposed to get 7000 points and they kept telling me they'd show up after 60 days and they didn't. Called them back and they said they had no record of that! I got in on the latest deal ($20 TCL) and the points showed right up after our chat.

If you can't get Corporate to add your missing Rewards points, go to FCC Complain Site and file a complaint like I did in This Post #33 . Select "Phone". Under "Subject", I keyed in "False Advertising". Under "Phone Issues", use the pull-down menu to select "Billing". Under "Phone Billing Sub Issues", select "Other".

After 6 unsuccessful calls with TF reps, I filed a complaint on 9/23. On 9/28, a rep from TF called, apologized for the problem and added 10,000 pending points to my account.
