Notification LED

What phones have the notification LED on the front? Looks like manufacturers are going away from that feature. It is something I really miss and I'm looking to getting a different phone. My current phone (Moto G6) does not have it. I don't need the latest and greatest phone. Would like to stay in the $200 range more or less.

I have only seen the notification LED on Samsung phones of a few years back. My Tracfone Galaxy Core Prime had one. Not sure what does anymore.

My last few Samsung Galaxy phones have: S4, S7 edge, S9 plus.

Agree that people who had the LED liked them. It is an extra hardware/software expense for the manufacturer, and the lack of screen bezel on newer phones does not have room.

I have an LG Q7+. It has a red LED on the front that blinks when there's a missed call or unread text.

I think it is very convenient that you don't have to power up the phone fully to see that there may be a missed call, text message or alert. I would imagine that the additional cost for the manufacturer is in the pennies but they pass it on directly to the consumer by the dollar $.

For phones that don't have an LED indicator on the front, there are several Missed Call/Text Reminder apps that can be set to blink the flash on the back to indicate a missed call/unread text.

I see a small blinking light in the upper bezel in that video, but not on the same author's later video or others. It only shows on the blank screen, and not when any other screen is lit. It is not shown in the user guide.

Did you notice in that video (around the 5:44 mark) that's there's another LED on the bezel (left of the selfie lens) that blinks rapidly?

Off topic. Where did you get your LG Q7+? I was just looking on Ebay and see most are from other countries and they are somewhat pricey.

I bought mine on Ebay in June, brand-new in sealed box for $170. It's a BTS (Korean pop band) version, not T-mobile version, so it's stuck at Android 8.1.0 and not get update to 9.x like the T-mo version. But everything works otherwise. It has VoLTE when used with genuine T-mo or TF/T-mo, but no VoLTE on TF/AT&T.

That's a good deal. The lowest price for a brand new one is $207 and up. Most are network locked. I would need ATT.

The one I bought is factory unlocked. It has only GSM bands/freqs, so works fine with T-mo, AT&T, and GSM MNVOs.
