Hopefully the X75 came out early enough this year that Apple can skip the X70.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon X75 is the chip I really want on my next tablet. I don’t know yet if the next Ipad Pro will have x70 or x75. Apple should still be using Qualcomm modems till 2025 so I’ve been told. The 2022 Ipad has the AT&T bands but I want more wireless and cellular performance and better battery life. Same goes for the Iphone as 15 will only have X70 while Iphone 16 will likely have the X75 modem. Looks like I will be waiting for the X75.
Ios 16.4 and ipados 16.4 does look like it will provide performance increases for 5G in the OS itself for AT&T which hopefully is activated in the final OS revision. By the time I get my new devices, it will be a later release than 16.4 so performance should be faster.
Hopefully the X75 came out early enough this year that Apple can skip the X70.
I took this a little while ago while grabbing dinner. I pinned the closest n77_n77 site and measured the distance when I was in the drivethru. This is HPUE I assume??

When ios 16.4 is out in final, there should be a lot more availability so just be patient. Ios 16.4 does seem to set new performance standards for wireless speeds. Between new modem chips due out and new os updates, performance is going to get better for 5G and before you know it the cycle will start again with the introduction of 6G.

A tower located in Cromwell CT on I 91. This is the best recorded speed I ever got in CT.
ioS 16.4 is out for public. For those with iPhone 14 should see bump in mid-band speeds with DoD enabled. Additionally, CA enabled with NR (although im not sure if that's limited to iPhone 14 models - if anyone could confirm?)
Since the update I've noticed a substantial increase in speeds (and in some areas even more where they only have DoD enabled - such as airports!)
