Truphone and the AT&T 3G Sunset

Does anyone know what will happen to Truphone once AT&T sunsets their HSPA/UMTS network? I haven't gotten any word about it.

Why should something happen to Truphone? Truphone does LTE on AT&T, with second priority. Can be had either on their global business plan (but those are costly) or an eSIM - I think this is where they want to move. Their eSIM data only offering is pretty descent if you travel between North America and Europe.

Another story is - whether or not they will continue their cheap per-minute offering.

i think the question is a broad one of when will we see widespread VoLTE roaming that enables VoLTE not only for truphone paygo but also all the international travelers in the USA on any given day who make roaming calls.

I think universal interoperable VOLTE will be done in a few years, just in time for 5G to take over and render it obsolete
