    Free SIM for US Mobile

Just an FYI, US Mobile has a promo code when you go to order a SIM. "FREESIM" is the code, and it'll change the price of a BYOD SIM from $4 to $0 at checkout.

They had a code that gave you up to 3 per order, but it recently expired. If you're looking to move over, just get on their subreddit and ask one of the reps for codes. We moved 2 1/2 weeks ago from Cricket and so far it's been great. Occasional slow towers/deprioritization, but overall better IMO and we never saw speeds like this with Cricket.

Nevermind, they extended the REDDITSIM code for up to 3 free SIMs: https://old.reddit.com/r/USMobile/co...9618/sim_kits/

I wonder if you could use both codes to get 4 free sims?

I threw them a bone and paid for 2 of my 5 when I switched. They are also crediting the extra $25 it cost me to sign up initially since the first two lines are more expensive for the first month.

How do they do the billing if you add the other lines a few weeks later? Keep the billing for each line at odd intervals? Prorate the month? Charge the new lines as full months and they all renew at the same time for the next month? When would be the best time to add the other two lines. I didn't add them initially because I wanted to try the service first.

I believe they are all individual, unfortunately. I jumped all in with my 5 lines from Cricket after testing for a couple weeks on a spare phone. If Verizon works where you go you shouldn't have any issues. Just occasional deprioritization in congested areas, but you'll get that unless you are on one of their higher postpaid plans. No regrets.

You can get the SIM card for free that way, so it is you choice. You then have a time limit for the validity of the (once you receive it) SIM card, so it will have an expiration date, although you might not be informed without asking.

You "BUY" the SIM card through the US Mobile site.

The $2 Monthly "Service" Fee is a real turn off. Pure click bait when you see the plan but wait...there's this other separate charge...aside from the usual

The site does inform the visitor or the customer. The US Mobile custom plans include some combinations which are enough low-priced so the typical $2 continuation or maintenance fee is not really too bad; but this still depends on each person's viewpoint. That fee is not a 'turn-off' for everybody.
