    GV send mms to email address

    Using the carrier service this appears possible; ie MMS to [email protected] works. Shows up as [email protected] (for cricket) on the receiving end.

    Trying the same with the gv app doesn't work. Nor does it work from the web ui.

    Anyone successfully send a pic using gv to email addr? How?

    Why? Particular recipient can barely open emails on the pc, opening a mms on cell phone is too challenging (don't ask).

    any reason to not simply send the pictures in an email ?

    If I put an email address in the TO field in the GV app, I can't continue.

    At voice.google.com, the email address input just disappears when I click the message field.

    So, it's not possible to send a message from GV to an email address, as far as I can tell.

    That's what I've been doing. It's fewer taps to send a pic via gv app.

    It just occurred to me, the workaround below works too!

    The main house # is a gv number now. All gv related emails (vm/missed call notifications) gets forwarded to a virtual email address - [email protected]. This email in turn forwards to several other (real) emails, one of which is accessed from that same computer.

    Workaround.. rather than sending to email address, I send the mms to the house phone # using gv (app or browser), pic received successfully.
