Looks like good old industrial stuff. Like we used before cell phones were sold at 7-11 stores.
Too bad I disposed of my old trunking radio. Maybe the bag phone will come back.
That thing would work in the mountains of Colorado going through a cell tower in New Mexico.

The website doesn’t provide much info at all about plans or pricing. It looks like it piggybacks off AT&T’s network based upon the coverage map.

i was thinking verizon but i think att has a way small 5G based on mmw
lets hope the new Nextel can take notes from sprint and use a system like Qchat that system work very well on sprints 3G rev.A network it was sooooo close to being Nextel quality

also would be super cool if ull still be able to connect to iDEN networks for PTT, theres 2 US carriers that still use iDEN and then other carriers overseas

You still get the idiots that talk using the speaker. Like everyone is interested in what they have to say. NOT!

The original Nextel domain redirects to T-Mobile for Business.

    Did find this article:
    https://www.kansascity.com/news/busi...199405354.html

Apparently the owner of RetroBrands "stole" the Nextel brand from Sprint, registered it, and sold it back in 2018, claiming the brand was abandoned by Sprint.

We could see the same thing happen to the Sprint brand.

Highly unlikely, all TMobile has to do is report filings that they still intend to use the brand. Sprint didn't do this, thus the name was up for grabs, TMobile likely will do this if the want to keep the sprint name.

As far as the "stolen" aspect, that's up for debate. The article even explains it here

"Maintaining a brand requires periodic filings and evidence that the brand is still in use or declarations that the owner intends to resume use, Kaplan said. Lacking that, the trademark essentially expires. Kaplan said the law doesn’t allow a trademark owner to simply park it to prevent others from using it."
