Buying A Smartphone Directly From Total Wireless

Has anybody here ever bought a smartphone directly from total Wireless? I have been a Total Wireless customer for several years, but never purchased a phone from them. What, if anything, is different about buying from them? I am considering a Motorola One Ace 5G. Is it carrier subsidy locked to Total Wireless? Would it work with Verizon or ANY Verizon MVNOs? I have read that some people who bought from other places had trouble getting it to work on Total Wireless and other Verizon MVNOs.

Also, it is not clear if it will currently work with Verizon 5G, yet.

B&H has the GSM (ATT & TM only) unlocked version for $380 vs $450 for the TW (VZW MVNO) version.

Just saying FYI. Idk what Bands the TW version has. Afaik some subsidized phones have missing or permanently disabled Bands. So they're basically useless outside that backbone.
I will be Judged on how I helped the poor, sick & others in need; strangers & loved ones alike.

Visible (Verizon) UTT & Unlimited Data $25/mo

That is not a true Total Wireless site. That is a Quality One Wireless.

I have seen people have issues with Quality One Wireless.

Edit: Here is another post that I remember seeing these: https://www.howardforums.com/showthr...from-Page-Plus

Plus if you look around Mint Mobile groups, I have seen Quality One Wireless issues too.

Total Wireless phones are locked to Total Wireless until 12 months of paid service have been completed. After that, they phones can be unlocked at the owner's request. At that point, most of the Total phones, including the one you mentioned, should be fully unlocked for all networks.

I have a Tracfone-branded Moto E5: Verizon's Postpaid & Prepaid checker gives it the OK. I would expect your Total phone to be similar.

I don't think MVNOs outside of the Tracfone family will object to it, either, after it's unlocked. In Tracfone's strange universe, I have seen some indications that it might be hard to activate it on some Tracfone subsidiaries, even after being unlocked. (They may view it as being 'committed' to Total Wireless.)
