    Scam Shield blocking legit calls

In the last month Scam Shield has blocked calls from my MD and financial advisor as potential scams. Anyone else experiencing this?

There should be a way to manually enter phone #'s to your phonebook to prevent that. Unfortunately, some calls could get blocked in error. Think of it like a false positive situation in a medical test.

Advise your carrier of the issue and that's about all you can do.

If you put the number into the "Favorites" in Scam Shield it's supposed to whitelist them (for you). The issue is that sometimes the calls originate from numbers that are a digit or two different from the caller's main number.

Sorry, I don't have a solution to that. That's why I suggested that you contact your carrier. While it may prevent most unwanted calls, the possibility like you explained can happen. It will never be perfect, but it is a start on the effort to filter SPAM calls out. In time, we can only hope the process will become more refined to prevent this. In the short term there are no quick, easy solutions.

As mentioned, keep reporting this to your carrier when you find it happening. It's like the old saying, "You can't have your cake and eat it too".

I have Scam Block set to off. I still get notified of a Scam Likely call, but I can accept or reject it---it's not automatically done.

As the app says, "We'll automatically block scam calls for you when Scam Block is on. Enabling blocking may inadvertently block desired calls."
