Locked into 4GB/mo for 25 years...

    edit: OK, maybe not:

The Bobby Bonilla Plan will have access to 4GB (or, in the event Mint Mobile, in its sole discretion, offers more than 4GB of high-speed data for its least expensive data plan, then the amount of data provided in that least-expensive data plan) of 5G and/or 4G LTE data (or any future high-speed data offered by Mint Mobile)

So maybe 6G and 7G access one day, too.

I remember when people gave me and others grief about locking into Red Pocket for 1 year back in early 2016!

And then the same happened when the AT&T Prepaid $300 plan was released, which I ended up buying for my wife in 2020.

NOW Mint thinks people will commit to 25 years for $2,500 for a current $6.67/mo savings, and a locked in price that will all future plan improvements?

    Hmmm...

Having left Mint for Visible (because TMo towers in my part of the city were unusable), I’m dying of laughter.

I mean if people have a hard time committing to Mint for 1 year at a time who’s going to jump on 25?

Ooooooh.... This might appeal to those extreme savers that shop at Costco regularly.

In the mvno world it would be a minor miracle to stay in business for 3-5 years. 25? Hmmm.... I applaud them for being optimistic.

I can't believe it. LOL. Too wild. 25 years I wonder how many gamblers will do this deal. And then find out a year later Mint is being sold to Boost (Dish). Ouch!

It is sort of a joke, I'm sure they would accept and honor the plan if someone bought it, but in the fine print it does say they can terminate and buy back the plan from you at any time. They also say they are impressed you are just interested in the plan. It's a joke on the bobby bonilla contract he signed with the Mets that paid him a million dollars a year, for 25 years. He gets paid 1.19 million, every July 1st, up until the year 2035. He hasn't played a game for the team since 1999. It's become a joke day, every July 1st is bobby bonilla day. The story of the contract is funny itself. The Mets released bonilla still owing him around 6 million,Mets owners thought they were about to get a huge payoff from some investments with Bernie Madoff, so they decided to defer the money owed, at an 8% interest rate, over 25 years, to be paid out on July 1st every year.

Maybe it includes a 25 year membership to the Ryan Reynolds fan club?
