Cheapest AT&T based plan available right now?

Been needing a few sims with 1gb data on them on AT&T towers.. both freedompop and red pocket mobile have discontinued their 1GB year plans... red pocket's discounted ebay rate is no more... it's increased to $120/year on the red pocket website... The next cheapest plan I've found is net 10 for $170/year.. if I'm going to have to get 2 or 3 sims that's going to be too much... Is there anything out there for cheaper? Anything im missing?

Those are probably the cheapest. Another option to look at is FreeUp Mobile if you want the option of something more month-to-month than yearly. The regular pricing on their Unl Talk/Text and 1gb plan is $15 a month.

The new FreedomPop has a 50/50/1GB plan for $9.
(You can only see it after activating the free plan, then clicking on "Want more? Upgrade your plan".)

    A new SIM costs $10.

I assume the "$120/year on the red pocket website" is data only. The SIM is free (I think the $10 you see in cart is for first month service).

Yea the $120/year is the regular non-year plan $10/month 1gb att red pocket plan..

EDIT: No more $10/month 1gb on all carriers on their website besides data only

I'm going to have to activate the new freedompop $9 plan because they still seem to be the cheapest plan out there for about $99/year... (After I buy sim) There really isn't any other cheap plan with 1gb data on AT&T... If i wasn't living in a non-existent T-Mobile zone I'd have so much more cheap options for my devices but this is what I have to work with... AT&T is the only provider out here that works with my devices and region....

My parents still use the freeup mobile unlimited tnt 200mb data for $10 plan that was retired long ago as their home phone replacement in a zte mf275 box... net 10 at $14 would be a better deal anyways in this price situation and they give unlimited data at 128kbps after 1GB

A few complications that I don't have answers to:

In the second Reddit thread above, his $8 plan did not auto renew. I don't know if the $9 plan would auto renew?

May want to take 911 surcharge into consideration. Does data only mean no 911 surcharge?

Can one buy the $9.99 SIM, activate GSMA, then add $99 Renewal?

Ting, Boost Mobile and Republic Wireless will be switching to AT&T and are owned by Dish Network. I would check all three for pricing in the coming weeks as they transition over to AT&T. The coverage map website still shows T-Mobile on Ting, Boost Mobile and Republic Wireless and I don’t know when the AT&T Devices and Sim cards will start shipping.

As of now, lowest pricing is 180 on Dish Network owned MVNO’s for 1GB for a year or 15 a month. This was before the AT&T changeover. Its possible that a promotion could come out in the future to push sales further or a reduced pricing plan could come out. You would have to compare future pricing. As Dish Network owns actual wireless spectrum, it will be a more competitive offering.

Ting’s timeline is months, not weeks.

I imagine that it will be awhile for Republic too but I can see Boost adopting AT&T fairly quickly.
