    Smartphone Sim Kits

I have a half dozen Tracfone Bring Your Own Sartphone sim kits that I will send to anyone who wants one, free. This is the TFRTPKP4CNA kit. I will send just the sim, not the whole kit as shipping will cost me only a stamp.

Well, all TF BYOP SIMs are Smartphone SIMs. I recently activated two BYOP TF/AT&T SIMs bought in 2016 during the Dollar General Bonanza and they have TMFL.

I may be the exception but I have never owned a TF Smartphone that didn`t give TMFL, even several BYOP`s. I was also always able to buy the basic airtime.

Yes, you are the exception. I have plenty of phones, TF-branded and BYOP, that don't have TMFL.

All TF SIM kits were called Smartphone, whether TMFL or not. I still have 3 of the early 2 carrier kits.

Yes they are all labeled "BYOP Bring Your Own Smartphone SIM Kit" but the ones produced before 2017 say "3X Talk + Text + Data" on the package and do get triple minutes, texts and MB when used with the TracFone "Basic" 60 minute etc. refills. They also work with the "Smartphone" refills.

Newer SIM kits say "No-contract smartphone plans with talk, text and data starting at $15" with no mention of 3X. You can still load them with "Basic" refills but the minutes, etc. are not tripled.

Here's an image showing the new (left) and old (right) kits. I wonder which kind gmanix has? The old 3X are almost impossible to find anymore.

I don't know how to post an image, but the back of the kits show the 90 day airtime service plans, and the front shows 4G LTE on any nationwide network....Already sent one to Yeswap so I expect he will be able o answer your questions.

Does it say for the top 2 carriers or top 3 carriers? The 3 carrier TMFL kits did not last very long before they changed to kits without TMFL. These are marked with only smartphone plans.

Can you recall when you purchased the kits and where? Did they come packaged with airtime?

I WISH they had come with airtime!! Cannot recall when I bought them, but I know I picked up 10 or 12 of them AFTER the FD Blessing.

Thanks gmannix. I will check the SIM out and report what I discover here.
