    Unable to check balance bounce back reply via SMS - VZW and AT&T SIMs

    Anyone else unable to check their balance by texting BAL to 611611? I was checking on my newly ported-in # on a TracFone branded Moto E 2020 (Verizon) so I thought it was related to the port. Tried my AT&T BYOP SIM and got the same text back about not being able to check my balance. The phones work though, which is what's most important. I can still check the AT&T SIM balance by using short code *777*1# though.
    Castrol EDGE 0W-20 is my drug of choice.

    Just got a response to USAGE. I suspect the database was offline for maintenance when you tried. When fastactportal used to work it would often be offline temporarily in the early morning hours.

    Can confirm BAL is working fine for me now (testing on a TMO SIM).

    You’re right, it started working again. Weird, I’ve checked balances at all hours and have never gotten that bounce back text. Was a little iffy after folks reported no balance and a dead phone recently.
