    $125 smartphone plan question

If I buy the $125 smartphone plan (365 days, 1500 mins, 1500 texts, 1.5GB data, will this all add to/stack on top of my current service, or will my current balances be wiped out and replaced by the new card?

I thought there was an issue with doing this lately. How do I get the service onto my byop which is on trac's Verizon network?

If you buy that plan it will stack on top of your current service units and service time. That is part of the beauty of Tracfone.

I don't know the current status, but as recently as June there was a Promo Code from TF that knocked $50 off the cost of the $125 card. I used it for a couple of relatives' TF phones.

Buy the phone bundle. Activate it with a transfer from your current BYOP SIM. A few days later activate a new BYOP SIM with a transfer from the phone. Takes some work but will save you at least $50.

Couldn't he simply re-activate his original VZW sim with a transfer after harvesting the new phone?

Possibly. I think TF will reuse a TF/Verizon SIM.
