    My service clipped prematurely?

    I have a few Tracfones. This one in particular, time on it was up at the end of this month. It is already 'dead'. Is this common practice with Tracfone?

    They don't mess around. If you reactivate within 30 days (sometimes more is allowed), your airtime should come back, but not necessarily the phone number (which they have less control over).

    You will have to add some airtime to reactivate... your old remaining balance cannot be used to reactivate.

    It IS a problem with Tracfone. How COMMON is this problem, I do not know.

    What do you find the device telling you? Is there a little caption on to of screen (assuming it is a smartphone) saying "No Service"? And is your account current on payment?

    If "this month" means November, they should not have killed it already.

    I got busy with a new TF this morning, but just turned the phone of this subject on and it's back. Weird. And then just as I said that, no service again. Restarted unit, and still 'no service'. And now it says no sim!!

    Yes to first question, service is good to end of this month.

    I wonder if your phone has a bad SIM or the SIM card slot is going bad.

    What phone is having this issue if we can ask? Do you happen to know what tower carrier are you using?

    If you have another phone that supports that carrier, you could switch the SIMs for a short little bit.

    It's an Apple iPhone - not new.

    I think service here is wonky today... my other phones are acting up as well. Gonna sleep on it and see if it clears up tomorrow. Thank you for the responses...

    Check if other people with that same tower carrier is having issues then.
