    Questions about terms of service

so i have an old grandfather hotspot plan that i plan to get rid of in favor of a wireless service (get a 25% discount)
im reading about the $800 trade in and saw this

"For new lines, if you cancel service on any other line on your account within 90 days of activating the line under this offer, device credits will stop."

does this mean that if i cancel my hot spot 1-2 weeks after i get my new phone service that att will cancel my device credits??...are they forcing customers to keep their other lines for 90 days after getting a new line???

Yes, you lose any device credits and will be responsible to pay those remaining credit amounts if canceling within 90 days, exactly as the quote you posted says so. Follow the rules and there won't be a problem for you. Why would you potentially cancel the service in 1-2 weeks?
    Just another day in paradise.....

    wow thats just mind blowing!!!!

i wanted to make sure the new voice line would be set up right (discounts on plan, trading in my google pixel etc) before i got rid of my grandfathered hotspot plan since i wont be able to get it back...i just dont understand why would they force me to keep the hotspot line for 90 days....if this is how it is then im going even open a new line for att and prob just switch to verizon for my new phone
