WiFi Calling Not Working

Cricket Customer Service is useless, so I'm asking you all.

I have a carrier branded Moto G Power. I've used Wifi Calling on this thing before, but it seems like the last system update disabled it. Now when I try to activate Wifi Calling, an error message pops up that says "Wifi calling not available. Please try again later." I've tried a soft reset, a network settings reset, and checking with customer care that the IMEI on file matches with my phone. The only thing I haven't tried yet is a hard reset.

Any other ideas how to get this feature to work?

I have heard that getting the latest sim card may help. I would get it changed regardless. Having said that even if you get it working, which sometimes is even hard to confirm, there is no guarantee it will work when you get to your destination/foreign country. Sometimes it works in the Dominican Republic and then it stops working then works again. Go figure. But since I have two 5/$100 plans I am not about to change 10 lines.

This is the same annoying question that Cricket customer care kept going in circles with me over when I would tell them that the 911 address was correct. Even if it wasn't, the option to edit it is greyed out unless turned on.

I ended up doing a hard reset to fix it. There's probably some setting somewhere on the phone to fix it, but at least a hard reset fixed it too.

I did a system update that seemed to disable it. And when I say hard reset, I do mean factory reset. I have no idea if it might have been a simple setting or if a factory reset forced the phone to reprovision. Customer care couldn't seem to help me.
