Any easy way to limit the battery charge to less than 100%

I read that charging the battery to 80% or 90% instead of 100% will make the battery last longer. I don't use my phone much so I don't need 100%. Is there an easy way to limit the charge %?

I read that Apple has something like that in some of their phones.

Chargie.org makes a gadget to do it but it requires bluetooth. I want simple stuff.

I would think there are a lot of people that would like something simple in the phone to do that. But the phone manufacturers wouldn't like it because phones would last longer. Too bad our smart phones are so damn stupid.

I do accomplish this with a 120v power switch that can be set to 2 hours. If I plug in my phone when the battery is between 20% and 30%, 2 hours later the power turns off and the battery is between 80 and 95 %. However this takes too much brain power to notice when the battery is between 20 and 30 %.

Running your battery down to 20% does a lot more damage than charging to 100%. I would work on that first.

I know that it may not be practical if one needs to use their phone and it isn't convenient to charge while on the go.

There are apps which can ALERT you to an upper or lower desired charging threshold (AccuBattery being among the good ones), but I don't know of any that automatically end the charging event.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm busy now but I'll take a closer look sometime. I looked briefly at AccuBattery. It seems to let me know when the battery has been charged to my limit. I'm more interested in being notified when it's time to start charging. I didn't see that in AccuBattery but I didn't look very hard because I've got a more important problem to solve now.
