In my market, AT&T doesn't have any 850 MHz spectrum but they do have 20x20 MHz PCS; they're still running LTE Band 2 as 15x15 MHz despite UTMS presumably being shut down. (Their other sub-3 GHz holdings are 10x10 B17, 10x10 B14, 5x0 B29, 5x5 B4, 15x15 B66, 10x10 B30.)

Are they possibly running 5x5 n2 where UMTS used to be?

In my market, they hold PCS A and 10x10 of PCS B with T-Mobile holding PCS D and the other 5x5 of B. So it was presumably an easy decision to keep using the 15x15 PCS A block for B2, then split the B spectrum between UMTS and n2. Now that UMTS is gone, n2 should be expanded to 10x10, now or in the near future.

In your market they're doing DSS with n2 @ 15 mhz. They have small cells in Williamsburg, as well.

Any idea what’s happening to the other 5x5 MHz chunk?

Looks like they're running it as a separate 5mhz chunk and labeling it as 5G+?

Just spotted this in Charlotte NC

weird. maybe it just hadn’t updated? haven’t seen anything about AT&T labeling lower midband as 5G+

You may have connected to n77 but fell of to n2. I've seen this happen with n77 and n5.

If that's what WCDMA was on, I'm sure it will be 20+20 soon enough.

Deployment type 5G NSA (7)? First time I’ve seen that number higher than 5. Wonder what that means.

My guess is it means it isn’t DSS.

N5 now at 10 + 10 mhz width. Please post your market

Major improvement to speeds where present. Did a drive through the Hillside of Duluth on 4th street and went up 6th Ave E towards the top of the hill. Toward the end of testing I was near the mall area where there’s no n5, which definitely reflects in the uploads especially.

Looks like most markets in NC have made use of that extra 5mhz chunk of b2 - either be widening to 20x20mhz (e.g. triad area) or adding a separate 5mhz of n2 (e.g Charlotte, NC)

(screenshot shows bw resource blocks, so divide by 5 to see in mhz)
