Hi, not sure if I have the right area to post this. I have a Samsung A51 tracfone. Recently it won't connect to the internet using data. No problems with wifi. The other day I couldn't make a phone call either even though i was looking at 2 cell towers. I rebooted and it was fixed. However rebooting does not allow me to connect to the internet. Recently I installed an Android upgrade. Not sure if related. Where we live we don't have cell service so it is a pain to go somewhere and try to deal with Tracfone support since I can't test things they suggest. Does anyone have any ideas? Turning on airplane mode and then back off didn't help. thanks. (no, I am not out of data time)

Ima miss this HoFo crowd when Verizon gets all this crap straightened out....NOT!
cckiger, thank you so much for posting this solution! We discovered this problem in the last few days and were totally baffled as to why it happened and how to fix it. After trying a few suggestions found via am internet search I thought I should check here and there it is!
One would think Tracfone would have sent all purchasers of phones impacted by this change a message telling them what happened and how to fix it, but no.
Thanks again!

Me2 on the APN. Android 12 update changed my APN. My Pixel 3XL was rendered useless. I was lucky. Took my phone to a Verizon store and the sales guy fixed the VPN. I was so happy I tipped him a $20.
It is good that a forum member was able to provide a quick, easy solution. Keep in mind that CS reps are required to go through a specific checklist/script to troubleshoot. I am talking from personal experience working for a major cell company.
Just another day in paradise.....
