Did anyone's $300/year plan renew recently or is renewing soon?

The reason I ask is that currently $300/year plan offers 16GB of data and I wonder if those on 8GB plan are automatically upgraded when plan renews.

My wife's renews Jul 12, 2022. I'm hopeful she'll get upgraded to 16 GB, but I'll be surprised if she does.

Do you plan to call and request an upgrade or port out and back in?

    I don't know. She's fine with 8GB. Maybe I'll call if I get a chance, but I definitely won't port out / back in.

My wife's plan renewed. She did NOT get 16GB. It's showing 8GB + 6.5GB rollover, for a total of 14.5GB available this cycle.

Thank you for sharing. I think I will port out and port in again. I really could use extra 8GB for emergency work-related tethering on rare occasions when my wired internet is out.

If you need / want the 16GB, it appears that porting out is the only way. I called asking for the 16GB, but was told AT&T Prepaid wishes to screw existing customers and only offer the 16GB to new customers. Or something to that effect...

So is the entire 16GB available for hotspot/tethering use? Thanks!

(From what I've seen in the past,AT&TPrepaid is really stingy about how much data they allow for hotspot use).

Their fine print indicates it is available for hotspot use. My recollection is that their defined data plans usually include hotspot but their unlimited plans have more limited/extra cost hotspot availability.

Yes, that's how I understand it, too. Any AT&T Prepaid plan with a fixed amount of data can use all the data for hotspot.

That's definitely how it is with 8GB/month annual plan.

Did Anyone's $300/Year Plan Renew Recently Or Is Renewing Soon?

I read something on another forum about the double data.

I also seems like my Due Date was the middle of July, but it now shows the first of July 2020.

    Hmmm.

Have they made the signup process any smoother? When I signed up a year and a half ago for the $300/yr plan, I remember it was very convoluted, and seemed like it was not going to work properly. I was thinking of porting out the last month of my year service (December), and porting back in. Any advice on who to port to for a month (ease of signup/porting/ and cost)? Thanks in advance!

I recommend porting out to T-Mobile prepaid. Super easy, I will probably do this again.

As far as porting back to AT&T I think you still have to call them.
