Can Someone Help Me Find Nokia 6190 Firmware?

I'm trying everywhere, and all I keep getting is nothing.

Can anybody point me to some place where I can find it?

Based on the age of the phone (1997), there may be very little help available in locating the firmware. I do wish you the best. Please update the community on your results as it may help others doing similar searches.

Unfortunately, both are dead ends. One is just informational (no firmware downloads), and the other just opens to a blank screen.

I did finally find firmware 6.13 off the Internet Archive, but it is in the form of several separate files.

Directory listing:

• nsb3__6.130
• NSB3FIDO.PP
• NSB3FIDO.WUG
• NSB3POWE.WUG

So evidently, these are the raw files that must be combined in such a fashion as to be in the proper form to fit in all the proper places on the flash chip. The thing is, I don't know how to combine them, and the software I'm using (Nokia flasher by rollis) only works with single .bin files.

Any ideas? I'm new to this, so maybe it's easier than I think?

Hopefully so. I have what is apparently the firmware I want (not the latest version, but later than what I have), and it's frustrating that i don't know what to do with it.

I bought another VoiceStream-branded 6190 last night, and I'm hoping that it has a later firmware that I can copy and write to my other 6190 (I've tried this with my 5190s, and it works). Maybe I can unlock it while I'm there, as I believe NokTool can do that, can't it?

OK, the VoiceStream 6190 arrived today, and it has firmware 6.13!

I'm dumping it now, and I'm going to copy it to the other 6190 to see if it works. Worst case, it won't.

EDIT: Well, it kinda half worked. It updated, but it stopped being able to connect to the network, so something more has to be done to make it work 100% I guess.
