I have AT&T now (4G only, don't have a 5G phone yet) and thinking of switching to get a better price at T-Mo. How does their service compare? I might upgrade my phone if I do switch so I'd be able to take advantage of real 5G and I hear they are better at 5G. But overall?
My Samsung Galaxy S9 has the 5G icon but since its not a 5G phone its not real true 5G signal...that said, its been good until lately I've been getting "no signal" warnings when out and about here in Phoenix. Not sure what that's all about... but I don't have any experience with T-Mo. I just know their prices are better!

My plans:
Visible (Verizon) UTTD $25/mo
T-Mobile Gold Rewards $10yr exp 12.25.23
FreedomPop (AT&T) Target $4.99 once 100 TTD a month each 29th
T-Mobile had an advantage on getting their 5G NR network going, but they still lack normal coverage in a number of areas. You would be better off asking other locals on their service. I would suspect AT&T will still be better overall between the two for coverage.

I would check on service in areas that you need to ensure that it works well enough for you. TMobile can be hot/cold depending on the area. if your device is unlocked, try a prepaid sim for a month to make sure that it works well enough for you.

Also make sure your phone has bands 66 & 71. That 600 mhz band carries a lot further in the country.
For 99c, you can get a Textnow SIM, which operates on Tmobile, no monthly charge. (Ad supported)
Tello SIM $2 on Ebay, $5 & up for voice/text. Data +$1. If I refer you , we both get $10 credit.
I think tmobile still has test drive. You can test the network free for a certain amount of days. No need to get any Sims from mvno's. I tried out test drive and it was super easy.
I'd recommend anyone thinking of using TMobile to use this option before they port.
