I have several GSM phones that support HD Calling (they are on the AT&T "whitelist" of approved phones for the post 3G era). I used to be able to switch my SIM from one to another and everything worked fine. I recently tried to move my SIM from my Pixel 3XL to a Galaxy A50 and the A50 had data but no voice. Tried moving from the 3XL to a Pixel 2XL, and same thing, data OK, but no voice. I had all the settings correct in both phones to allow VoLTE.
I ended up calling CS and after several tries I got a good CS rep that explained that after the Feb 2022 3G shutdown, H2O now records your IMEI and associates it with your SIM card. If you move the SIM to a different phone, you need to call CS and give them the new phone IMEI and they will set up the voice calling for the new phone. I ended up going through this process and everything worked OK. The CS rep told me that if I want to move the SIM to a different phone, I need to call them again.
Not sure if this is public knowledge or not, but I thought this info may be useful to someone. Here is the latest AT&T whitelist for unlocked phones: https://www.att.com/idpassets/images...TT-Network.pdf
Another restriction. Terrible.
Visible (by Verizon) receive $20 off the first month. Please use referral code: 36csHv - https://www.visible.com/get/?36csHv
I will be Judged on how I helped the poor, sick & others in need; strangers & loved ones alike.
My plans:
Visible (Verizon) UTTD $25/mo
T-Mobile Gold Rewards $10yr exp 12.25.23
FreedomPop (AT&T) Target $4.99 once 100 TTD a month each 29th
I wonder if other AT&T mvno's will now start doing the same thing? That will be terrible for us consumers.
In the past, AT&T and TMo were better than (Sprint and) Verizon because the sim card could be moved around. If all mvno's start enforcing this extra step of contacting customer service... gosh, that will be horrible!
Please use my referral codes - you will save money *and* you'll get great karma for helping out this starving student!

Thanks for letting us know. The easy SIM swaps on AT&T phones was one thing I liked about H20.
